Module aim (aims)

It is assumed that the student(s):· Will be able to familiarize themselves with the role of ICT in the work of elementary, secondary and higher education teachers/lectureres.· Will be introduced to the ethical and legal aspects of multimedia use.· Will acquire skills in using ICT tools and applications in education.· Can develop multimedia message creation skills.

Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)

English on intermediate level (B2 level) or higher.Elementary pedagogical knowledge.

Syllabus

Week 1: Basic concepts and definitions of ICT, ICT in education in Poland and other countries (simmilarities and differences), familiarization with the available technology (computers, applications, etc.)Week 2: Designing, creating and editing a complex educational document using a text editor (Word, Libre Office, OpenOffice, Google Docs).Week 3: Multimedia: designing, creating and editing multimedia educational materials.Week 4: Web 2.0/4.0 - group communication in education.Week 5: Web 2.0/4.0 - educational tools in education.Week 6: Searching, collecting and processing information using PC and mobile devices.Week 7: Integration of digital messages in multimedia packages.
