Module aim (aims)
- assimilation of basic structures and vocabulary in German language used for communication in daily situations
- development of four language skills, especially listening and speaking on level A1
- acquiring culture information about German people and country; comparing it with other cultures
Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)
The course A1.1+ is for students who have little knowledge of German and who are interested in discovering German language and culture.

Week 1: Introduction – Vorstellung (Verbkonjugation, Personalpronomen)
Week 2: Food and drinks – Essen und Trinken (Konjugation ‘mögen/möchte’)
Week 3: In the restaurant – Im Restaurant (Akkusativ)
Week 4: Travelling. Means of transport – Reisen. Verkehrsmittel (trennbare Verben)
Week 5: My city – Meine Stadt (Personalpronomen im Dativ)
Week 6: Easter and other festivities – Ostern und andere Feste in DACH
Week 7: Giving directions in the city – Orientierung in der Stadt (Präpositionen mit Dativ)
Week 8: My life story. Past activities – Meine Lebensgeschichte (Präteritum ‘hatte/war’)
Week 9: Daily routine. Past activities – Mein Tagesablauf (Perfekt mit haben)
Week 10: Holiday. Past activities – Mein letzter Urlaub (Perfekt mit sein)
Week 11: Music in lesson. German songs – Musik im Unterricht. Deutsche Lieder
Week 12: Health and illnesses – Gesundheit und Krankheiten (Modalverb ‘sollen’, Imperativ)
Week 13: Wishes and future plans – Wünsche und Zukunftspläne (Modalverb ‘wollen’)
