Module aim (aims)

The aim of the module is to expand students’ knowledge about immersive virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), both of which can be included as types of eXtended Reality (XR). We are going to answer where these two emerging technologies may be applied and what are their pros and cons. We are also going to address advanced issues of 3D modelling and implementation of created 3D models into a virtual reality environment which may be displayed in Head-Mounted Displays, e.g. Oculus Quest 2, Google Cardboard. During the course students will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience using HMD’s e.g. Oculus Quest 2, Oculus Go, Google Cardboard
