Module aim (aims)

Upon completion of the course, the student will:have a deeper understanding about issues of race, racism and anti-racism on informing pedagogy, policy and curriculum development; have knowledge about gender relations and how is useful in informing our understanding about notions of masculinity and femininity; notice to what extent do social class differences impact on educational outcomes for students; understand why is it important to address issues of sexuality as they relate to education and schooling.

Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)

English on intermediate level, allowing for the free speaking and reading the articles in English
