Module aim (aims)

The course is intended to present the most important tourist attractions of selected countries of Central Europe and the Balkans. It 'll be focused on their historical and cultural significance. The most popular tourist attractions 'll be presented during the course. The countries that 'll be discussed are: Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia and Bulgaria. The lectures are focused on the impact of presented objects on the culture of that countries. This influence was different in the other centuries and depends on historical, cultural and even the social context. During the course the students receive not only knowledge about culture of selected countries, but also interesting facts and some curiosities related to everyday life and local cuisine.

Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)

Interest in Central Europe and the Balkans. Basic knowledge on Tourism.
