Module aim (aims)

Providing information on the functioning of selected groups of sex offenders based on pedagogical, psychological, and criminological theories.
Introducing students to psychological and penitentiary assessment methods used in Polish and European prisons.
Providing information on psychological treatment and penitentiary work with sex offenders.
Developing teamwork skills.

Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)

Syllabus

Week 1: Sexual disorders – concept, diagnostic criteria, classification.

Week 2: Perpetrators of multiple rapes – psychological characteristics.

Week 3: Incest – psychological characteristics.

Week 4: Pedophilia – psychological characteristics.

Week 5: Models used in the diagnosis of sexual disorders.

Week 6: Therapy for sex offenders serving prison sentences.

Week 7: Penitentiary work with sex offenders serving prison sentences.

Week 8: Social and institutional support for sex offenders after prison.
