Module aim (aims)
- to introduce students to the concept of artetherapy and movie therapy;
- to deepen students’ understanding of the process of movie perception;
- to familiarize students with various kinds of application of movies in psychological education;
- to encourage students to critically reflect on culture (in particular Slavonic culture) through the analysis of selected movies;
Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)
Advanced knowledge of English;
Every week students are obliged to watch a selected movie.
Syllabus
1. Understanding the process of movie perception.
2. The phenomenon of projection-identification: emotional participation.
3. Theoretical foundations of movie therapy.
4. Movie therapy as one of the trends of artetherapy.
5. Movie therapy in the context of culture of self-help books.
6. Film as a contemporary form of myth.
7. Movie application in prevention of various kinds of discrimination and disorders (case studies).
8. Theory of color in film.
