Module aim (aims)
The main of this course is to acquaint students with modern synthesis methods of various classes nanomaterials based iron oxides, gold, carbon material ( graphene, nanotubes, nanodiamonds). During this course the fundamental features of each nanomaterial classes will be discussed. Later on the basics of modern nanomaterials characterization methods will be presented. Further selected application of nanomaterials will be presented in water remediation, catalysis, energy storage. The big part of the course will be devoted to functionalization of nanomaterials and their application in nanomedicine with particular focus on novel anticancer combined therapies.
Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)
