Module aim (aims)

The course aims at providing students with basic knowledge concerning rules and forms of running economic activity and provision of services by foreign entrepreneurs in Poland, with in-depth analysis devoted to the provision of services by professional lawyers. The subject covers European regulation of freedom of establishment and freedom to provide services as well as Polish regulations that implement European standards in these fields.

Week 1 Introduction
Week 2 Economic integration – goals, forms and stages
Week 3 Free movement of goods, capital and workers in EU law
Week 4 Freedom of establishment and its limitations in EU law
Week 5 Rules and forms of the undertaking of economic activity in Poland and other EU countries
Week 6 Freedom to provide services in EU and Polish law – scope, limitations and relation with other freedoms of the internal market
Week 7 EU rules on legal services and their implementation in Poland and other EU countries
Week 8 Summary and written test
