Timetable

The course consists of 6 modules:

The asynchronous course entails independent work with online materials, with the option to consult a tutor in case of any issues.

The course will start on October 15, 2024 and will last until the end of January 2025. Modules can be completed at your own pace.

Each module consists of 3 lessons composed of approximately 4-7 tabs. Completing each module will take approximately 3 hours.

The course includes attractive videos, grammar comments, diagrams, illustrations, texts, audio recordings and, of course, engaging exercises.

Module aim (aims)

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

- Gain insight into the operations of enterprises in Poland.
- Acquire vocabulary pertaining to work, recruitment, and personality.
- Master the skills of composing a CV and cover letter.
- Review various crucial grammar concepts.
- Learn effective job search strategies in Poland and proper conduct during recruitment interviews.
- Discover that mastering specialized language can be an engaging adventure.

Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)

To begin the course, it is required to have at least an A2 level of proficiency in Polish.

You will need a device with internet access (we recommend using a computer as films, dialogues, and exercises are better viewed on a larger screen) along with headphones or speakers. Additionally, preparing a notebook and writing utensils is recommended.

Syllabus

ISSUES COVERED

MODULE 1

In the first module:

- You will learn the most important vocabulary needed to describe a person.
- You will learn to discuss tastes and preferences.
- You will learn how to express your own opinions and discuss your well-being.

MODULE 2

In the second module:

- You will learn the key vocabulary related to education and development.
- You will learn how to craft a CV and cover letter.
- You will understand the concept of the subjunctive mood.
- You will review future tense usage.
- You will refresh your memory on computer-related vocabulary.

MODULE 3

In the third module:

- You will review essential vocabulary related to family history.
- You will learn to discuss your professional career.
- You will understand the concept of aspect.
- You will revisit past tense usage.
- You will refresh your memory on vocabulary related to expressing dates.

MODULE 4

In the fourth module:

- You will learn crucial vocabulary related to working conditions.
- You will learn to discuss relaxation after work.
- You will understand the concept of an insurance policy.
- You will review knowledge of numerals.
- You will refresh your memory on telling time in Polish.
- You will learn about conditional sentences.

MODULE 5

In the fifth module:

- You will learn important vocabulary related to company operations.
- You will learn to discuss employee responsibilities in various positions.
- You will learn how to establish your own company in Poland.
- You will revisit information about commands, consents, and suggestions.
- You will learn about different types of contracts.
- You will learn how to organize your workplace.

MODULE 6

In the sixth module:

- You will learn crucial vocabulary related to networking.
- You will learn to discuss conflicts.
- You will learn how to compose official and informal invitations.
- You will review information about the vocative and imperative mood.
- You will learn how to present your own opinion.

 

ASSESSMENT CONDITIONS

Following the completion of the first three modules, a test will be administered, and after the sixth module, a final exam will be conducted. Additionally, within each module, you will encounter exercises categorized as both non-scored and scored.

Points acquired from the exercises contribute 30% towards the final score, while those from the test constitute another 30%, and those from the final exam make up the remaining 40%. To successfully pass the course (and obtain confirmation of completion), a minimum of 60% of the total points must be attained.
CONDITIONS FOR CERTIFICATE ISSUANCE

Every participant who has finished the course and amassed a minimum of 60% of the points will receive a confirmation document. The certificate is automatically generated upon course completion.
