German intermediate A2

Timetable

Module aim (aims)

• assimilation of basic structures and vocabulary in German language used for communication in daily situations
• development of four language skills, especially listening and speaking on level A2
• acquiring culture information about German people and country; comparing it with other cultures

Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)

Intermediate German A2 is dedicated to English-speaking students continuing their knowledge and learning after at least 2 years of learning German.

Syllabus

Week 1: How to introduce yourself – Begrüßung und Befinden. Checking whether students knowledge and level match the group

Week 2: Personal information. Occupations – Angaben zur Person. Berufe (Verbkonjugation Sg. und Pl., Personalpronomen, Negation ‘nicht’)      

Week 3: Family – Familie      

Week 4: Shopping – Einkaufen

Week 5: Family life -  Berufsleben

Week 6: Sport und Fitness im Leben   perfekt und Vergangenheitsformen

Week 7: My flat  - Meine Wohnung - Erweiterung          

Week 8:Ernährung  und Restaurantbesuch 

Week 9: Firmenporträt

Week 10: Meeting people – Verabredungen (Verbposition im Satz)          

Week 11: Easter and other festivities – Ostern und andere Feste in DACH

Week 12: Weather and climate – Wetter und Klima (Präposition ‘in’)        

Week 13: Office & technology – Büro & Technik (Akkusativ)        

Week 14: Revision - Wiederholung         

Week 15: Evaluation Test - Evaluierungstest
