Module aim (aims)

Giving general information about the genres of short stories, poetry and novels in contemporary Turkish literature,

The effects of Mediterranean culture on Turkish literature,

Reading, examining, discussing and criticizing selected texts from the works of writers such as Yahya Kemal, Cevat Şakir, Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar, Yaşar Kemal who include the Mediterranean in their works.

After completing the course and confirming the achievement of learning outcomes, the student:

- knows the basic information about the contemporary Turkish literature,

-is familiar with the discussions about the effect of geography on identity in Turkish literature.

- is able to express his/her thought on the effects of Mediterranean on Turkish literature,

- can write texts relating to the selected works.
