Module aim (aims)
developing the four basic language skills - speaking, reading, writing and listening
assimilation of basic structures and vocabulary in French language used for communication in everyday situations
acquiring of French vocabulary useful for tourists visiting France or other francophone countries
acquiring culture informations about France and French people
Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)
The course is dedicated for beginners, who don't know French and who are interested in in discovering French language and culture
Syllabus
Week 1: Introducing oneself and other persons.
Week 2: Objects - questions "what is it?" and people - questions "who is it?"
Week 3: Days of the week, months and seasons of the year. Numbers and dates. Questions "what time is it?', "at what time...?" and answering them.
Week 4: Dialogues at a hotel reception.
Week 5: In a restaurant - choosing and ordering dishes, paying.
Week 6: Asking for the way - how to get from one place to another (on foot or by public transport).
Week 7: Conversations at a travel agency.
Week 8: Talking about local tourist attractions.
Week 9: Organizing a city tour. Describing monuments.
Week 10: Asking for informations at the airport. Vocabulary useful at the airport.
Week 11: Understanding safety (and other) instructions on board of a plane.
Week 12: Buying train tickets. Vocabulary useful at the railway station and in a train.
Week 13: Fixing a visiting itinerary (of a country or a town).
Week 14: Organizing a package tour.
Week 15: Evaluation test.
