Timetable

Module aim (aims)

C1 To familiarise students with the content of selected books and passages in the field of biblical literature.
C2 To make students aware of the basic methodology and terminology of biblical studies (traditions of the text, canons, exegetical methods, apocrypha, pseudepigrapha etc.).
C3 To provide students with knowledge of the origins of the Old Testament and Judaism.
C4 To provide students with knowledge of the origins of Christianity in its dual - Judaic and Greco-Roman context.
C5 To familiarise the student with the different types of biblical narrative (genre diversity, plot patterns, character creation strategies, etc.).
