Module aim (aims)

- assimilation of basic grammar structures and vocabulary in italian language used for communication in daily situations

- development of four language skills, especially listening and speaking on level A1

- acquiring culture information about Italian people and country; comparing it with other cultures

Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)

The course A1.1. is for students who have no prior knowledge of Italian and who are interested in discovering Italian language and culture.

Syllabus

Week 1: Basic information about phonetics, orthography, accent rules and intonation

Week 2: How to introduce yourself  -  Ciao, Come stai? Come sta ?Come va? (il verbo chiamarsi, essere, stare ed avere , genere degli aggettivi,  nazionalità)

Week 3: Where are you from?, address, phone – Dove abiti ? Il tuo numero di telefono ?(il verbo in –are abitare, indirizzo,numero di telefono , numeri da 0-100)

Week 4: Do you work or study? Studi o lavori? (le professioni,i posti del lavoro)

Week 5: Describing people and objects (concordanza aggettivi con nomi)

Week 6: Bar (verbi in –ere ed –ire)

Week 7: Restaurant (menu)

Week 8: Shopping (verbi finire, capire)

 Week 9:Cappuccino in Italy

Week 10: Revision

Week 11: Daily routine ( le ore, il mio giorno)

Week 12: My free time – Il mio tempo libero (mi piace, mi piacciono) 

 Week 13: Christmas and festive period, Tradition

 Week 14: Working hours in Italy (verbi potere, dovere, volere)   

Week 15: Evaluation Test
