The students gain the understanding of specificity of the Central European culture on the historical and social background.

Key moments in Central European history and their reflection in literature.
Specific trends and themes in Central European literature.
Central European essays: the most important authors and topics.
Central European culture against the world background.
Contemporary controversies related to the concept of Central Europeanness.
Perspectives of Central European culture.
