Module aim (aims)
Every day we encounter some attempts to persuade us: to believe something, to do something, to buy something, etc. The aim of this module is to learn to think critically about such attempts and to distinguish those that actually provide us with good reasons for being persuaded. Students will learn how to reconstruct and evaluate different types of arguments and how to recognize and avoid different types of fallacies.
Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)
No prior knowledge is required.
