Module aim (aims)
- transfer of specialist knowledge in the field of economics which is the basis for understanding and communication in this field
- development of all language skills in the field of business language based on specialist texts in the field of economics
- developing the skills of intra- and interlingual transition from specialized to general language and vice versa
- developing the skills of receptive and productive participation in the German-speaking specialist discourse in the field of economics
- developing the ability to reliably search, analyze and evaluate specialist information in the field of economics in German

Week 1: Economy vs economics, economic system and its participants, functions of modern economy, basic vocabulary and concepts.
Week 2: Needs, wants and choices. Maslow hierarchy of needs.
Week 3: Supply and demand, market equilibrium
Week 4: Types of goods, competition on the market
Week 5: History of money, kinds of money
Week 6: Inflation-causes, effects and prevention
Week 7: Case study - negotiations
Week 8: Product development – brand building
Week 9: Marketing strategies
Week 10: Basics of logistics- chain of supplies
Week 11: Intercultural communication in business sector
Week 12: Conflicts in business
Week 13: Current economic issues
