Collegium Geologicum is located at the Morasko Campus, 200 metres from the geography building
Module aim (aims)
Microscale observations along with semi-quantitative analysis on various examples will be the main focus of the course.
The course is addressed to the students (foreign and Polish) of: geology, geography, environmental sciences, biology and archeology.
Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)
Basic knowledge in Earth sciences (at the secondary school level).
Syllabus
Week 1-3: Examples of the application of scanning microscopy in geoscience
Week 4-6: Exercises on selected samples; possible observations of students' own samples
Week 7: Learning how to present the results.
Week 8: Interpretation of the results obtained from SEM-EDS
