Module aim (aims)
This course equips you with the skills and knowledge you need to master effective communication, hassle-free teamwork, conflict solving and understanding the mechanisms causing communication problems.
Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)
Preferably B2 English level or higher
Syllabus
Week 1.People from 4 different planets - 4 thinking styles.
Week 2.Verbal and non-verbal communication. The importance of body language.
Week 3.Making effective presentations. Using soft skills to keep your audience interested.
Week 4. The basics of transactional analysis (TA) and psychological games people play.
Week 5. Giving feedback and solving conflits – nonviolent communication (NVC) in 4 simple steps.
Week 6. Working in a team. What makes a good team-player?
Week 7.Using your personal skills to deal with stress and burnout.
Week 8.Dealing with intercultural differences.
Week 9.Students’ presentations.
Week 10.Course review.
