Timetable
The lectures are held on Wednesday at 11.30-13.00 in the classroom 4.2 CIN on the 4th floor, al. Niepodległości 53. The first lecture will be held on the 4th of October 2023.
Module aim (aims)
The course aims to provide the students with solid basic knowledge necessary to understand the role of migration law and scope of its application in the European Union. It presents the European and the international legal regimes on migration as applicable to the territories of the Member States of the European Union. Apart from exploring the substantive rules on migration in Europe as developed within EU and treaty law, the course focuses on the interplay between the different legal spheres and their impact on the legal position of individual migrants.
Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)
Students attending the course are expected to be familiar with the basic knowledge of the European migration law. Students should know and understand the main principles of the European migration law and understand basic terms. They should also have skills in reading and understanding legal acts and case law.
