Module aim (aims)
1. Assimilation of basic structures and vocabulary in German language used for communication in daily situations
2. Development of four language skills ( listening, speaking, reading, writing ) on level A1.2
3. Acquiring culture information about German people and country
Pre-requisites in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences (where relevant)
The course is for students who have little knowledge of German and who are interested in discovering German language and culture. It can also serve as continuation of the course German For True Beginners I.
Syllabus
Week 1: Introduction and personal information - Vorstellung und Angaben zur Person ( Verbkonjugation, Personalpronomen )
Week 2: Deskription of directions - Wege beschreiben ( lokale Präpositionen + Dativ )
Week 3: Houses and flats - Wohnen ( Possessivartikel sein - ihr, Genitiv bei Eigennamen )
Week 4: In the city - In der Stadt ( Verben mit Dativ, Personalpronomen im Dativ )
Week 5: Appointments - Termine ( temporale Präpositionen "vor", "nach", "in", "für" )
Week 6: Plans and wishes - Pläne und wünsche ( Präpositionen "mit"/"ohne", Modalverb "wollen" )
Week 7: Health and disease - Gesundheit und Krankheit ( Imperativ ( Sie ), Modalverb "sollen" )
Week 8: Appearence and Charakter - Aussehen und Charakter ( Präteritum "war", "hatte", Perfekt nicht trennbare Verben, Wortbildung un - )
Week 9: Houshold - Im Haushalt ( Imperativ ( du / ihr ), Personalpronomen im Akkusativ )
Week 10: Traffic regulations - Regeln ( Modalverben "dürfen", "müssen" )
Week 11: Easter and other festivities - Ostern und andere Feste in DACH
