- Module aim (aims)
- This course is a broad introduction to the field of social psychology.
- Students explore the main issues of social psychology. The course is an overview of the main social psychology issues.
- Students explore the key figures, main theoretical perspectives, the important, crucial and controversial psychology experiments.
- Students have the opportunity to discuss and think critically about a variety of psychological issues.
- Students will take part in workshops in order to experience some of the abilities and processes discussed during the lectures.

Syllabus
Methods: iscussion, group works, social games
Final practical presentation and attendance.
Students, who miss more than two meetings, will not be graded.
Week 1: Introduction to social psychology, a historical view.
Week 2: Development of social abilities. The role of cognitive, emotional, motivational and moral processes. Social communication – tasks, boundaries, factors, social support.
Week 3: Introduction to the most popular issues of social psychology.
Week 4: Stereotypes and schemes in our everyday life. Discussion and workshop.
Week 5: Attribution processes – discussion and workshop.
Week 6: The phenomenon of cognitive dissonance, social attitude and conformism.
Week 7: Social abilities – workshop.
